Job Summary:
The Maintenance Tech will report directly to the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Tech ensures the proper and efficient setup of production molds in the injection molding presses and will be able to assist in other areas. In performing these responsibilities, employees are to work safely, efficiently and cooperatively in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement.

Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform mold changes on all presses; assist processors in operating presses to cycle in first pieces of product.
* Understand all machine functions and controls.
* Assist Mold Tech in troubleshooting presses.
* Understand the function of all press-side auxiliaries.
* Maintain house keeping at press areas during mold changes, in maintenance shop and at repair sites on plant floor.
* Act in a safe manner and follow all safety regulations and guidelines including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
* Operate forklift in accordance with proper operating procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager. Maintain, troubleshot and repair mechanical and hydraulic presses, thermolators, chillers and the Plant vacuum system.
* Read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics. Ability to understand and apply electrical codes.
* Work safely and effectively with industrial control circuits and three-phase power supply.
* Operate shop equipment including: milling machine, band saw, drill presses, lathe, welder, concrete drill, torch and electric test meter. Use a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools.
* Know and conduct quick start-up/shut-down emergency procedures.
